Our Boys
Thanks to Joanne Szymczak of SwanLake Cattery in Poland, for choosing the perfect boy for our breeding program, and entrusting him to our care!
Ren is RETIRED, and will remain in our home as a beloved PET

Swan Lake Ren of KayaKedi
AKA: Ren
Cream Mackerel Tabby and White
DOB: June 24, 2020
Ren is my little shadow. He sits on my lap or beside me nearly every time I sit down to rest. When I'm busy working around the house, he usually likes to sit where he can see me.
Ren has a very calm and gentle disposition. As a kitten, Ren did not enjoy cuddles, unless it was his idea, as he was much too busy running around the house and playing with his cat buddies. As an adult he has grown into a regal cat with stately manner, keeping all the other cats in line. I can easily pick him up and cuddle with him. Sometimes he still jumps up on my shoulder, usually when there's raw egg or meat involved!
With tall, upright ears well-positioned, and a lovely profile, Ren is an excellent example of the Turkish Angora breed standard.
Ren produced 3 litters of kittens for us. We kept a male from litter #1 (Arthur) as our replacement stud in our cattery. And another male from litter #2 (Pippin) is a stud to a cattery in WI.

Arthur was born in our cattery, and is a fine example in looks, conformation, and temperament, of what a Turkish Angora should be. We are excited to see what traits he passes on to the next generation!
Arthur is RETIRED, and will remain in our home as a beloved PET.

Black Tortie Smoke
KayaKedi Arthur
Black Smoke
DOB: June 24, 2021
Arthur was quite the stubborn little fellow when he was a kitten. Constantly pushing the boundaries of what he could do. He acted as though there was another big adventure waiting around the next corner, and he just had to conquer it!
As an adult, Arthur has truly blossomed into a sweet and loveable fellow. He remains curious and playful, and will regularly greet each human, expecting each of them to love on him. With all of the kittens he has produced, he has been interactive, loving, and playful with them.
Arthur has a lovely profile, tall, upright ears well-positioned, and beautiful coloring. Arthur produced 2 litters with Quida, giving us 9 lovely kittens.

KayaKedi Gimli
Black and White
DOB: December 6, 2021
Gimli and Gandalph are 2 more boys who will remain in our home as beloved pets.
Gimli is typically a very quiet cat. However, he also enjoys playing with his brother, Gandalf, and the other cats in the house. And he enjoys chasing and bating cat toys around. He has always been a great cat with the kittens, and always enjoys playing nicely with them.
Gimli was never adopted as a kitten, due to no fault of his own, and has been here since birth. He is typically calm and easy-going. He plays gentle, except when he and his brother wrestle good-naturedly. He loves jumping up onto my shoulders and draping himself there to be carried around. He gets along well with all of the other cats in the household.
For a time he was available to adopt with his brother, Gandalf. However, he has bonded well with me, so I have decided to keep him in our home as part of our beloved pet family.

DOB: December 6, 2021
Sire: Swanlake Ren of KayaKedi

(aka: Lucy)
Black Tortie Smoke
Gandalf is almost as much of a lover as his mother, Lucy. He always watches me to see if I'm going to sit down, so that he can jump up on my lap and get some loving.
Like his brother, Gimli, Gandalf is very calm and easy-going. Both kittens fell to the lower-middle of the pack hierarchy, and so tend to be more followers.
Also like his brother, Gandalf was never adopted as a kitten, due to no fault of his own, and has been with us since birth. He, too, enjoys playing with cat toys, and will bat and chase them around the house.
Where Gimli likes being carried around, Gandalf does not enjoy being picked up and carried. He would prefer to sit on my lap and get pet and scratched, or lie beside me as often as possible.
Gandalf also gets along well with the other cats in the home. For a while he was available to adopt as a sibling pair, with his brother, Gimli. However, because he, too, has bonded well with me, I have decided to keep Gandalf and his brother as our Pets. They have complimenting, but not identical, personalities, and I enjoy their company.
KayaKedi Spikenard

DOB: September 25, 2019
Another beloved pet
Dam: Valengora Ginessa of KayaKedi
(aka: Gypsy)
Tortie Smoke and White
Spike was born in our cattery. His mother died after only 1 litter, of FeLV vaccine poisoning, so we decided to take a break to decide if we wanted to continue breeding. As a result, we kept Spike as our pet, as we knew we couldn't live without a Turk!
Spike was a very fun and playful little kitten. When his siblings were all gone to their new homes, he became quite attached to the dogs, and enjoyed cuddling with them. As a result, Zeva has been very interested in each litter of kittens ever since.
Spike is an incredibly laid back fella. When we eventually decided to begin breeding again, and Ren eventually arrived as a breeding stud, he and Spike became good buddies and enjoyed playing together.
Unfortunately, Lucy ended up being a very over-protective momma, and as a result, chased both Spike and Ren with teeth and claws to keep them away from her babies. As a result, Spike has learned not to trust her, and to be very wary of kittens as well.
Spike loves hanging out in our office and capitalizes on all the one-on-one loving he can get while hubby and I are working in the home-office. When the office is not in use, he hangs out in the rest of the house, with his cat buddies, or lounging on our bed, another of his favorite spots.
Spike is quite a character with loads of personality, and clever at opening cupboard doors! He is very sweet and loves attention, though isn't often fond of being picked up and cuddled overly much. Typical Turk!
Spike also is one of the family. We had considered adopting him out when we were actively breeding, kittens and overly protective momma cats stressed him out quite a bit. Now that our breeding is at an end, however, he has become that chill, laid back fella that endeared himself in our hearts as a kitten.
