PURCHASING  INFORMATION
Purchasing a live animal:

Here at Cedar Down Farm we raise:

  • Cows for meat

  • Sheep for meat

  • Rabbits for meat

  • Chickens for eggs, and periodically for meat

We sell any extra live animals that we have on the Jackson, TN Craigslist, along with all pertinent info available. These are usually sheep and rabbits. Rabbits are almost always available. Sheep, however, are available cyclically.

Whatever freezer meat we have available for sale is also listed on Craigslist. However, this happens only rarely, as usually we will only process what our family can consume and prefer to sell extra animals as live animals.

Purchasing frozen Meat:

We process our large animals (cow, sheep) at various meat processing facilities based on our timing and their availability. We pick our meat up individually packaged and fully frozen.

When purchasing meat from us, the customer's purchase price will include all appropriate fees associated with having the meat processed for us, based on the portion of meat being purchased (IE 1/4, 1/2, whole), This includes a portion of the killing and processing fees.

Currently we do not sell rabbit or chicken meat already processed for the customer.
